I was told that I will have to report Saint Luke's everyday. I am on their DOT-Directly Observed Therapy program. For those who are going to the US, it part of the protocol of the US embassy that those who are found to have tb go through the DOT program. There is no consideration whether one is living in as far as Mindanao or any part of the the farthest place in the country. I was told that 90% of the Filipino are active of tb. I never new I had one until my medical results came. If not going overseas, I might not have known:). Today is my fifth day of the 6 to 9 months of duration that I need to complete. I hope it will be sooner.
Staying in Manila to make sure I am taking the medicine is tooooooooooo much but there seems to be no other option:(. The only consolation is that one does not need to report on Saturday and Sundays because they are not open. They entrust the medicine to the patient.
grabe nga! parang hindi practical.. practical lang sya if they are going to do tests to monitor the progress of the treatment within the duration of that drug therapy. Patience ulit... isipin mo na lang na at the end of the tunnel, your cinderella is waiting for you... :)
ReplyDeleteHehehehe... Good consolation, sis. Yes Mng, anos latta adi! Praying with u in this time of waiting and healing. May u emerge stronger in faith and in character...
ReplyDeleteIngat and God bless!
Ang haba naman ng tunnel:) Sana nga stronger!
ReplyDeleteSalamat sa inyo!
I think it's good you found about your situation, and it's good you're being treated. Six to nine months seems so long, but imagine how time flies =). Use this time to read, write, and do things you like to do.
