How Long will Eternity Be? "will you be there....."

I received a text message last night from a cousin that her brother died. It was quite a surprise because I thought he was quite young. He is a little bit older than me. When we were in the primary grades, he used to be our leader whenever we did the cultural dance. We call it “tayaw.”

He is the seventh of 10 siblings. He is not as popular as his siblings (not to mention that his brother is a board member) but I know he really worked hard. I remember the days when he would be alone working hard in the field. Staying at home made some of his siblings able to go to school then. He was a silent person, low profile but I know he tried his best to help.

I did not have the luxury of talking to him often because he lived in a different village. The last time I saw him was when he came out of the hospital. I wish I had spent time talking with you.

Take time to spend with people you love. You never know when they are going to leave. We often find excuses because we have to work or something….but these will never replace the ample special moments we spend with our friends and family.

I hope to see you someday when that day comes. Bye on earth, Fredo! If you have trusted Jesus Christ and made Him your Savior, we will meet again.

  1. Sorry to hear that. Farewell to "him".

You said it right, we should spend some time to be with our love ones or else we end up being regretful.

  2. Hello Abella. Thank you for dropping by my photo blog! I appreciate it.

I'm sorry to hear about this news. It is always a sad time when somebody moves on. But, as they say, the journey still continues for us and for him.

    hi ellen,

yes, we never knew when we leave!

    hi watson,

    thank you!

    hi bill,

yes, sometimes we take for granted the presence of people we love. We are tempted to often think that they will "always" be there.

  5. Hi Abella,

I remember a motto of a friend: "Don't ever delay to express your love to those whom you love, 'cos tomorrow might never come."

Btw, congratulations for your graduation! My sister, Layad, told me. O ya, I also added your blog to my link. ^_^
