Simple Ethics....

I was in queue on a Chinese food stand in one of the malls. I was the third person in the line. Let me name the first person as A and the second person as person B. Person A, B and I had ordered already. By the time the order of A adn B arrived, customer A suddenly said, "Oh I will buy two" and took the one that customer B has ordered, which would mean customer B has to wait a bit. It did not take long for her to wait, though, but I thought customer A (may be in her late 50's) was so inconsiderate. In fact, to defend her act, she blurted out with much gusto, "Puwede namang umorder ulit 'di ba?" ("(One) can order again anyway, isn't it?) The saleslady should not have allowed that. Customer B was shaking her head, so was I. I think customer B saw my disgusted face too. I think my bad feeling was towards customer A, not the saleslady. I almost rebuked the lady(customer A), but I thought people with attitudes like that can hardly be taught because they won't listen anyway.

This sounds so simple, but when a person does this to justify her/his act, others get affected. I realized how values that are taught both in the family and school affect the community we live in. Thank you to those parents and people who have taught us good values, especially the word of God.

  1. Yup. Some people can really be inconsiderate. My pet peeves would be those who cut lines and those who talk loud in movie houses :-(

That's why I NEVER subscribed to these beliefs that when some "Filipinos" do well abroad, the buzz nationwide is: magaling talaga ang pinoy or matulungin talaga ang pinoy, or sikat talaga ang pinoy, these are crap stuffs.
Each country are just like us, some people just have no manners and that's how it will always be.
No cheers to those without manners!

  3. Very inconsiderate indeed. She should've asked first before assuming it was ok.

buti pa nga yung pet may manners:)

    hi tb,

good to see you around. at least ther are Filipinos who are honest and honored. tama po kayo. like any other country, mayroong downside. a German lady was sent back to her country after verbalizing her disappointment in the airport (natin). After saying you Filipinos are lazy*%$#@! ayun nagalit yung officer sa airport and ...poor lady...blacklisted na siya.

    hi wil,
    amen! i almost told her...*&%$
